Our History

Jeremiah de Michaelis founded The Omega Society in 1974 after the death of his father. After spending thousands of dollars on the funeral with extras that he did not want or need, he realized that Orange County families should have access to affordable, high-quality cremation and burial services. He also saw a need for prepaid arrangements to remove the burden on surviving loved ones who might be pressured into spending more than necessary. 

As one of the oldest direct cremation and funeral providers in the area, The Omega Society prides itself on going the extra mile for the families we serve.
